Q: When should I book the venue?
A: Typically, you want to reserve and book your date at least 10 months to one year prior to your ideal date.

 

Q: Can I bring my own cake?
A: You can certainly bring in our own cake. We do ask that each vendor does supply a COI for liability, in which we can serve the product.

 

Q: Do you have a bridal suite?
A: We have plenty of bridal suite options to choose from. Whether it’s one of our party rooms transformed into a lounge area or our green room used as a dressing room, we have options.

 

Q: Do you have an area for the ceremony?
A: We have a few areas available for your ceremony. This portion of the wedding can take place on our Terraces that overlook the rink and Prospect Park Lake. Just add a few bistro lights to the perimeter of the rooftop and it will add a touch of light to make it an intimate space. Another option for the ceremony, is our Lakeside Waterfront. We can accommodate up to 100 seated guests facing the west side of Prospect Park and just in time to catch the sunset.

 

Q: Do I need to get any additional permits to host my wedding at Lakeside in Prospect Park?
A: You do not need to get additional permits to have your wedding at Lakeside. If you wish to have your wedding outside of Lakeside in Prospect Park, you will need to get a special event permit.

 

Q: Can we bring our own food?
A: Unfortunately, you cannot bring your own food, since we have a restaurant on premises. We also have an in house executive chef that provides catering options of all kinds.

 

Q: Do you provide an event planner?
A: When you book your wedding at Lakeside in Prospect Park, your sales coordinator becomes your event/wedding planner for your event. We can coordinate any and all additional services that you wish to have at your event. Whether it’s a delivery or a custom floral you want us to get, we can make it happen.

 

Q: Can we do a tasting before we sign the contract?
A: Once the contract is signed and a deposit is on file, we can certainly setup a tasting with our executive chef. Our quality of food is set with high standards, so you are also more than welcome to try our food at Bluestone Café if you wish to have a taste prior to signing the contract. The same items may not be available, but we put passion behind every item we create.

 

Q: Do you have suggestions for DJ’s and entertainment?
A: We work with an array of professional MC’s and DJ’s. Whether you are looking for a Jazz Duet for the Ceremony and reception or a DJ and an MC, we’ve got you covered.

 

Q: What other items can you assist us with? (i.e. décor and design)
A: Whether you’re in need of florals, a chuppah, au natural décor, custom linen, furniture rentals or that special cake, our event specialists can provide all of these services to you.
